Soccer Game Preview: Seminole Ridge vs. Palm Beach Gardens

The Seminole Ridge Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Palm Beach Gardens Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Palm Beach Gardens took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Seminole Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Seminole Ridge took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Royal Palm Beach onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Hawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Wildcats are ranked 148th).

I-Jah Marseille and Naor Suarez scored both of Seminole Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Palm Beach Gardens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Jensen Beach. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Gators couldn't quite close it out.

Palm Beach Gardens' loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Seminole Ridge, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 6-8-3.

Seminole Ridge suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Palm Beach Gardens in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Seminole Ridge was down 3-0.
