Volleyball Game Preview: Gustine Reds vs. Stone Ridge Christian Knights + How To Watch

Gustine is 0-4 against Stone Ridge Christian since August of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Reds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Gustine earned a 3-1 victory over Modesto Christian. The Reds haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 23-25, 25-10.

Gustine's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adamaris Sierra, who had 13 kills, seven digs, and three aces. Sierra is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last five games she's played. Jaclynn Lopez was another key player, getting seven kills, six digs, and six aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Gustine was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 35 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Stone Ridge Christian got the win against Le Grand on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Stone Ridge Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Gustine, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Gustine might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Stone Ridge Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Reds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
