The St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Lancers will venture away from home to face off against the East Troy Trojans at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. East Troy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, who comes in off a win.
St. John's Northwestern Military Academy came out on top against St. Anthony on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Lancers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Roman Legion a 10-0 shutout. The Lancers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024 (when they won 10-0).
Jaxon Lettenberger made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matthias Ericksen, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and four runs. He has become a key player for St. John's Northwestern Military Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Damien Dax also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Jaylen Hoffman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Jackson Pluess, who went 2-for-4 with one run.
St. John's Northwestern Military Academy's record now sits at 2-5. As for East Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
