Basketball Recap: More Academy Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the More Academy Crusaders were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 33-27 to the Akron-Fairgrove Vikings. The contest marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

More Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Akron-Fairgrove, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. More Academy will face off against CHASE at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. More Academy's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so CHASE's offense will have their work cut out for them.
