North proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 73) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They pulled ahead with a 7-6 photo finish over the Carl Hayden Community Falcons. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered an 18-13 loss the last time these two teams met.

North didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Sophia Casey, Giselle Chavez Palomino, and Tahjie 'TT' Freeman picked up one apiece.

North's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, North will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against South Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carl Hayden Community, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Kellis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
