Volleyball Recap: Ygnacio Valley Takes a Loss

Ygnacio Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Alhambra Bulldogs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Ygnacio Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-15.

Ygnacio Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Alhambra, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ygnacio Valley will challenge Mt. Diablo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alhambra, they will take on KIPP King at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
