Baseball Game Preview: Meek Tigers vs. Curry Yellowjackets

The Meek Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Curry Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meek will be strutting in after a win while Curry will be coming in after a loss.

Meek took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Athens Bible, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Meek sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Athens Bible on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since March 3rd.

Aiden Benson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. McKinnon Guthrie also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Curry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-0 to Fayette County.

Curry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Meek, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.
