Soccer Recap: Tuscola Finishes Even with Murphy

For the first time this season, Tuscola was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Murphy Bulldogs finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Monday. The outcome might've been different if Stonewall Strickland hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

He was the only thing that stood between Tuscola and a shutout considering he scored both of Tuscola's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Tuscola's draw gives them a new season record of 0-1-1. Meanwhile, Murphy's record is now 0-1-1.

Coming up, Tuscola will venture away from home to take on Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Murphy, they will welcome Pisgah at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th.
