Softball Recap: Riverview's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After a string of four wins, Riverview's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 14-9 to the Plant City Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Cecilia Cartwright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Juliet Sederio, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Riverview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Plant City, their record is now 13-5.

Looking ahead, Riverview will challenge Chamberlain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plant City, they will face off against Lakeland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
