Softball Recap: Bowie Takes a Loss

Bowie lost against Medina Valley on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bowie Bulldogs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the Medina Valley Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Cadie Hays was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Ellie Lauer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Even though they lost, Bowie hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Bowie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Medina Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Bowie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-4 victory against Leander on the 14th. As for Medina Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-3 win against Jourdanton on the 14th.
