Porter-Gaud won the last time they faced Academic Magnet and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cyclones came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raptors, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cyclones have posted since August 30th.

Allie Abernathy paced Porter-Gaud's offense, picking up nine kills. Abernathy got some help from Harriett Matenaer and her 12 assists. Matenaer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Porter-Gaud's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Academic Magnet, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
