Recap: Oakland Wildcats vs. Santa Cruz Cardinals

They snuck past Santa Cruz with a 48-44 win. For Oakland, this counts as revenge for the 69-60 loss Santa Cruz walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Leading Oakland to victory were Jonathan Chapple and Anthony Lacy. Chapple scored 14 points along with two steals, while Lacy dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Rohm Neal was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Oakland is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Santa Cruz, their loss ended a 17-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4.
Oakland and Oakland Tech will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Oakland Tech is ranked 107th, while Oakland is ranked 117th). As for Santa Cruz, they will head out on the road to take on Soquel at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
