Baseball Game Preview: Carbon Dinos vs. North Sanpete Hawks

For the second straight game, Carbon will face off against North Sanpete. The Dinos are taking a road trip to take on the Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Carbon has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Carbon heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell just short of North Sanpete by a score of 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Dinos' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Paxton Falk was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Carbon is 5-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-12 otherwise. Falk was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Carbon's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for North Sanpete, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.
