Basketball Game Preview: Crescent Tigers vs. Pendleton Bulldogs

Crescent hasn't had much luck against Pendleton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Crescent Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Pendleton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Crescent took on Seneca on Friday. Crescent lost to Seneca at home by a 71-52 margin. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Bobcats are ranked 94th).

Meanwhile, Pendleton came up short against Belton-Honea Path on Friday and fell 56-45.

This is the second loss in a row for Crescent and nudges their season record down to 12-12. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Pendleton, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-13.

Crescent came up short against Pendleton in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 54-44. Can Crescent avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
