Softball Recap: Magnolia Has No Trouble Against Camden Fairview

It was a proper cat-fight when Magnolia took on Camden Fairview on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 19-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won seven in a row.

Kloey Basinger was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rayleigh Herron, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and five RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Sophie Smith also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Magnolia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
