Baseball Game Recap: Weston Trojans vs. Immaculate Mustangs

Weston had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 5-6 to make it four. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-3 to the Immaculate Mustangs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Immaculate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

For Immaculate's part, the team relied heavily on Kevin Hickey, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. That run marked the first that Hickey has scored this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Weston will challenge rival Brookfield at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 4.1, the Bobcats 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Immaculate is set to take on their familiar foe Pomperaug at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
