Softball Game Preview: Biggersville Lions vs. Thrasher Rebels

The Biggersville Lions will challenge the Thrasher Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Biggersville's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Thrasher has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

Biggersville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over Falkner on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Thrasher and Tremont, and Tremont kept the tradition alive. The Rebels took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday.

Delancy Sartain was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Biggersville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Thrasher, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went Biggersville's way against Thrasher when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Biggersville made off with a 14-2 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
