Softball Recap: Lindsay's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Saint Jo on Friday, Lindsay came back down to earth. The Lindsay Knights took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lone Oak Buffaloes on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 9-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The loss snapped Lindsay's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-6 record. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.3 runs. As for Lone Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Lindsay will challenge Bryson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Bryson their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Lone Oak, they have already played their next contest, a 10-8 victory against Tioga on the 1st.
