The Spackenkill Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Pine Plains Bombers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Spackenkill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.8 goals per game this season.

Spackenkill will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Millbrook on Wednesday. The Spartans were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Blazers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Spackenkill's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Millbrook are ranked 279th).

Spackenkill's offense was hitting Millbrook from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Gabby Krakower led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Pine Plains was forced to settle for a draw. They and Millbrook finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Monday.

Pine Plains' draw gives them a new season record of 1-4-1. As for Spackenkill, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.

Spackenkill beat Pine Plains 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
