Softball Recap: Nitro Takes a Loss

Point Pleasant hit Nitro with a ten-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats lost 15-1 to the Big Blacks. The Wildcats have struggled against the Big Blacks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Nitro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Hyatt, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Nitro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Point Pleasant, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Nitro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Point Pleasant has already played their next matchup (against Winfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
