Football Game Preview: Atlanta Rabbits vs. Liberty-Eylau Leopards

Atlanta hasn't had much luck against Liberty-Eylau recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rabbits will look to defend their home field against the Leopards at 7:00 p.m. Atlanta is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Atlanta's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-0 win over Sabine. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Rabbits this season.

Atlanta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Riley led the charge by rushing for 104 yards and two TDs. Riley's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. Another receiver making a difference was Cj Whaley, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Atlanta proved: they limited Sabine to a paltry 2.5 yards per carry. The Rabbits didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 17.5.

Meanwhile, Liberty-Eylau played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 46-20 to Gladewater. The Leopards were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 22-0.

Liberty-Eylau's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Atlanta, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Atlanta was taken down by Liberty-Eylau 42-6 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Rabbits, Trip Baysinger (who rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 167 yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time.
