Football Recap: Escondido Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fallbrook

Escondido had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Fallbrook Warriors by a score of 27-24 on Friday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Escondido lost, don't look at Jorge Martinez. Despite the final result, he picked up 32 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The critical scores for Fallbrook came from Jaxson Day, Grant Hall, and Hudson Quinn. The Warriors also relied on Landon Weber, who's 46-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escondido will take on Classical Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Fallbrook, they will challenge Canyon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
