Softball Recap: Barstow Comes Up Short

Barstow fell victim to Serrano and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Serrano Diamondbacks. The Aztecs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Barstow saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Barstow's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Serrano, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Barstow is taking a road trip to square off against Academy for Academic Excellence at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Academy for Academic Excellence has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.14 runs per game on average), something Barstow will no doubt try to take advantage of. Serrano has already played their next game (against Eisenhower), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
