Soccer Recap: Armijo Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Armijo was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Vikings. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Armijo's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3-1. As for Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-1-4.

Armijo will be playing at home against Florin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Armijo is facing Florin at the right time seeing as Florin is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Campus at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.
