Baseball Recap: Olympic Comes Up Short

Olympic managed to slip by Central Cabarrus the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Vikings on Tuesday, falling 23-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Olympic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Van Bouchaute, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. Van Bouchaute has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

Olympic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Central Cabarrus, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central Cabarrus beat Olympic by a score of 26-0 on Thursday.
