Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, North Myrtle Beach couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were dealt a 67-32 loss at the hands of the Berkeley Stags on Wednesday. The Chiefs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, North Myrtle Beach had strong showings from Nevaeh Washington, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 17 rebounds, and Madison Vereen, who posted eight points along with six boards and five assists. Washington is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berkeley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alaina Carter, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. What's more, Carter racked up six assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amani Mccray, who scored 13 points and seven rebounds.

North Myrtle Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Berkeley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

North Myrtle Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berkeley, they will take on Greenwood at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Greenwood sitting on three straight wins and Berkeley on 12.
