Volleyball Recap: Temple Comes Up Short

Temple lost against Ryan back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Temple sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 17-25, 25-18.

Leading Ryan to victory were Abigail Vasquez and Atiya Everett. Vasquez had 12 digs and three assists, while Everett had eight assists and five digs. Vasquez has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 14 times she's played.

Temple now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ryan, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1.

Temple didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Keller Central on the 15th. As for Ryan, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Saginaw on the 15th.
