Basketball Recap: Kenston Takes a Loss

Kenston lost against Padua Franciscan back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Kenston Bombers came up short against the Padua Franciscan Bruins, falling 78-55. The Bombers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Kenston still got an impressive performance from Braelyn Akins, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Ellis, who posted seven points and six assists.

Kenston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Padua Franciscan, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

When Kenston and Padua Franciscan next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Kenston will try to stop Streetsboro's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kenston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season. Similarly, Padua Franciscan will try to stop Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
