Volleyball Recap: Christian Academy Victorious

The Christian Academy Eagles were able to grind out a solid win over Immaculate Conception Academy on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-16, 27-25, 25-20.

Serenity Abbott paced Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Abbott got some help from Kelsi Hiler and her 24 assists. Abbott was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 14 aces.

Christian Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Immaculate Conception Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Christian Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Immaculate Conception Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mars Hill Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
