Baseball Game Preview: Ridgefield Spudders vs. Columbia River Rapids

For the second straight game, Ridgefield will face off against Columbia River. The Spudders will host the Rapids at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Ridgefield and Columbia River, and Columbia River kept the tradition alive. The Spudders fell just short of the Rapids by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Spudders couldn't push the score so high this time.

The victory (which was Columbia River's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgefield, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.
