Volleyball Recap: Verrado Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Verrado entered their tilt with Youngker on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Roughriders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on April 3rd.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Verrado took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-7.

Alexander Marrero paced Verrado's offense, picking up nine kills. Marrero got some help from Cole Doerr and his 12 assists. Jaylen Tolliver controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Verrado's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-8. As for Youngker, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-23.

Verrado has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Arizona College Prep on the 30th. As for Youngker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alhambra at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
