Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Pirates vs. Goldendale Timberwolves

The Riverside Pirates will challenge the Goldendale Timberwolves at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Goldendale took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverside, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Riverside strolled past Irrigon with points to spare, taking the game 49-30.

Justien Tido was a one-woman wrecking crew for Riverside as she posted 19 points. Tido is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Deisy Zavala was another key player, putting up eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-11, which was the final score in Goldendale's tilt against Tri-Cities Prep on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now lost four in a row.

Riverside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Goldendale, they now also have a losing record at 1-2.
