Baseball Game Preview: St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots vs. Bishop DuBourg Cavaliers

The St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots will square off against the Bishop DuBourg Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Louis HomeSchool P is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

St. Louis HomeSchool P will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Hermann on Tuesday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 13-1 victory. The matchup marked the Patriots' most dominant win of the season.

St. Louis HomeSchool P got a great performance from Soren Johnson as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

At the plate, St. Louis HomeSchool P let Camden Rodriguez and Vinny Tornatore run wild. Rodriguez went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Tornatore got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Tornatore has become a key player for St. Louis HomeSchool P: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Schark, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

St. Louis HomeSchool P always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Bishop DuBourg let St. Mary's stack four runs on them in the fifth inning on Tuesday but luckily Bishop DuBourg prevailed anyway. The Cavaliers had just enough and edged out the Dragons 5-4.

The victory got Bishop DuBourg back to even at 3-3. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.
