Recap: Calvert Hall Cardinals vs. Mount St. Joseph Gaels
The Calvert Hall Cardinals were the 21-13 winner over the Mount St. Joseph Gaels when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Calvert Hall fell 14-7 to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday.
Jae?oyn Williams threw for 97 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Gister was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Calvert Hall's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-2 Archbishop Spalding and 6-2 Gonzaga (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.8% over those games). As for Mount St. Joseph, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvert Hall will take on McDonogh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount St. Joseph, they will be playing at home against Pallotti at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pallotti is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
