Volleyball Recap: Arapahoe's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Arapahoe was the 2-0 winner over Horizon when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Hawks on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Warriors' undefeated start to the season.

Riley Brayton paced Arapahoe's offense, picking up eight kills. Brayton got some help from Addie Loughner and her 12 assists. Kellyn Anderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Horizon can attribute much of their success to Annalee Young, who had 20 assists and five digs. Those 20 assists gave Young a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Vaness, who had nine digs and three assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Arapahoe fell to 2-1. As for Horizon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Arapahoe has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Rangeview on the 26th. As for Horizon, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Denver South at 6:30 p.m.
