Basketball Recap: Aiden Sipes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cristo Rey Fort Worth

On Friday, the Community Christian Warriors were able to grind out a solid victory over the Cristo Rey Fort Worth Lions, taking the game 57-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Community Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Sipes, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Sipes has scored at least a third of Community Christian's points. River Bryan was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Community Christian now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Cristo Rey Fort Worth, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Christian will head out to square off against Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Community Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cristo Rey Fort Worth, they will head out on the road to take on Joshua Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Tristan Millspaugh and Emmanuel Olmos.
