Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Community). They put the hurt on the Grundy County Yellowjackets with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday. For the Vikings/Viqueens, this counts as revenge for the 9-1 win the Yellowjackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Hayden Davis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Community is undefeated when Davis posts two or more runs, but 4-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was William Wood, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Community's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Grundy County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Community and Grundy County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Vikings/Viqueens (ranked 207th) will meet Eagleville (ranked 57th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Grundy County will challenge Lincoln County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (315 vs. 36).
