Basketball Game Preview: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. Chiefland Indians

After both having extra time off, the Taylor County Bulldogs and the Chiefland Indians will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Taylor County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 71 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Leon last Thursday. They were dealt a 57-24 loss at the hands of the Lions. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Chiefland hadn't done well against Oak Hall recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. Chiefland walked away with a 56-43 victory over Oak Hall.

Chiefland's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Taylor County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Taylor County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Chiefland in their previous meeting back in December of 2014, but they still walked away with a 61-57 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
