Baseball Recap: Argonaut Takes a Loss

Argonaut lost against El Dorado last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Argonaut took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of El Dorado. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jacob Teravskis put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Teravskis was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Marcus Scaife made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Argonaut is 3-1 when Scaife posts three or more hits, but 1-3 otherwise. Julian Constance also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Argonaut's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for El Dorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Argonaut will host Union Mine at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for El Dorado, they will welcome Foresthill at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. El Dorado will need to watch out since Foresthill has now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
