Softball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 18-0 to the Kountze Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-1 loss back in February.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Kountze, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren will venture away from home to take on Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.08 runs per game on average), something Warren will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kountze, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Kountze Lions duke it out with Buna Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
