Basketball Game Preview: Prairiland Patriots vs. Rains Wildcats

Prairiland is 1-8 against Rains since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Prairiland Patriots will welcome the Rains Wildcats at 2:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Prairiland came up short against Lone Oak and fell 54-43. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Rains entered their tilt with Mount Vernon on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 63-25. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.

Rains' win bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Prairiland, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Prairiland took a serious blow against Rains in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 71-16. Thankfully for Prairiland, Jasey Campbell (who went 6 of 8 on her way to 15 points along with six assists and five steals) won't be suiting up this time.
