Soccer Game Preview: IDEA Bluff Springs vs. Wayside: Sci-Tech

The IDEA Bluff Springs Bats will venture away from home to face off against the Wayside: Sci-Tech Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

IDEA Bluff Springs' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They beat IDEA Health Professions by a goal, winning 1-0. That's two games straight that the Bats have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Guillermo Lopez, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Wayside: Sci-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to KIPP Austin Brave. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Ravens it sure didn't stay that way.

The victory made it two in a row for IDEA Bluff Springs and bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Wayside: Sci-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

IDEA Bluff Springs beat Wayside: Sci-Tech 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for IDEA Bluff Springs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
