After a string of seven wins, The Bay School's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the San Domenico Panthers by a score of 14-12. The Breakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 21-8.

Audrey Ball made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with eight stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Wentworth, who earned two RBI, one run, and four stolen bases.

The Bay School's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for San Domenico, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

The Bay School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Domenico, they will challenge Valley Christian on Wednesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
