Soccer Recap: Western Wayne Takes a Loss

Western Wayne fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Dunmore on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bucks by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Dunmore this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-3 loss on October 8th.

Western Wayne's goal came courtesy of Joey Tickner, who's now up to 12 this season.

Western Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Dunmore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Western Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dunmore, they will square off against Lake-Lehman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunmore's defense better be ready for this one: Lake-Lehman have averaged an impressive 4 goals per game this season.
