Poynette had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Monday. They walked away with a 61-50 win over the Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves. The Pumas have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Timberwolves, too.

Despite the loss, Living Word Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Delaney Winkelmann, who posted 29 points and six boards. Those 29 points gave Winkelmann a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Crozier, who earned two points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Poynette pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Living Word Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Poynette will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Poynette is facing Columbus at the right time seeing as Columbus is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Living Word Lutheran, they will take on Messmer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
