Grand Island had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the seven-goal drubbing they dealt Niagara Falls on Monday. The Vikings' defense stepped up to hand the Wolverines a 7-0 shutout. Considering Grand Island have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Grand Island has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six matchups. As for Niagara Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
