Basketball Recap: Washburn Starts off Right with Win over Lakeway Christian Academy

Washburn gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-43 victory over the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Washburn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abigail Epperson, who posted 11 points and three blocks. That's the most points Epperson has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Ebany Hill, who had 13 points and three steals.

Washburn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 83-9 win against Knoxville A on the 20th. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 56-19 loss against Oliver Springs on the 20th.
