Basketball Recap: Livingston Manor Takes a Loss

Livingston Manor lost against Eldred back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Livingston Manor Wildcats took a 55-39 bruising from the Eldred Yellowjackets.

Trai Kaufmann continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Eldred, going 12 for 22 on his way to 31 points and five boards. Eldred is undefeated when Kaufmann posts 15 or more points, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of James Deyermond, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Livingston Manor dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Eldred, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Livingston Manor won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sullivan West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sullivan West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Eldred, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against SS Seward at 7:00 p.m. Eldred is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
