Basketball Game Preview: Westinghouse Bulldogs vs. Brashear Bulls

The Westinghouse Bulldogs will challenge the Brashear Bulls at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Westinghouse is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Taylor Allderdice on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Westinghouse had to suffer through a 70-33 loss at the hands of Taylor Allderdice. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 677th, while the Dragons are ranked 206th).

Meanwhile, Brashear was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 74-60 fall against Carrick.

Brashear's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Westinghouse, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Westinghouse skirted past Brashear 43-40 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westinghouse since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
