Basketball Game Preview: Providence Christian Academy LIONS vs. The Webb School Feet

Providence Christian Academy and The Webb School are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Providence Christian Academy LIONS will host The Webb School Feet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Providence Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 22 matches -- so hopefully The Webb School likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Providence Christian Academy made easy work of Columbia Academy and carried off a 69-45 win. The LIONS have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for The Webb School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Franklin Road Academy by a score of 52-43 on Tuesday. Given the Feet's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Panthers are ranked 188th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Webb School's win came from a few key players Providence Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Eli Brown, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2024. Joel Wyatt was another key player, putting up seven points and nine rebounds.

The Webb School is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Providence Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.

Providence Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over The Webb School in their previous matchup back in January, winning 61-53. Will Providence Christian Academy repeat their success, or does The Webb School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
